Henderson Companies has launched a new service for clients with high-profile projects to make better-informed investment decisions using performance data.

Henderson’s new service, Strategic Consulting, brings together owners, architects, general contractors, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders during the project planning process. The parties can then utilize the service to determine the most effective allocation of resources for the projects and enhance their lifecycle value.

The service will be primarily used for larger-scale projects and is designed for higher education, healthcare, data center, hospitality, retail, and industrial facilities.

Strategic Consulting’s three integrated phases feature:

  • Capture: Collecting and gathering building data.
  • Analyze: Examining performance data to uncover meaningful insights.
  • Advise: Delivering data-driven, step-by-step recommendations to meet business goals.

“Our industry traditionally becomes involved in projects long after capital planning and funding decisions have been made, which often limits our clients from fully benefiting from our experience,” president of Henderson Companies, Kevin Lewis, said in a release. “Strategic Consulting changes that model by allowing us to add value across the entire building lifecycle.”

Leading the Strategic Consulting team will be Herbert Els, who has been serving as a strategic consulting director for Henderson Engineering since August 2024. Els has over 24 years of industry experience, having served in several leadership roles at WSP USA for more than a decade.

Henderson Companies is the parent company of Lenexa-based firms Henderson Engineering and Henderson Building Solutions. The employee-owned company was founded in 1970 and currently operates offices in 14 cities with more than 1,000 employees.
