HCA Midwest Fills Two C-Suite Roles for KS and MO Hospitals



HCA Midwest Health have announced new leadership roles for Menorah Medical Center, Lee’s Summit Medical Center and Belton Regional Medical Center.

HCA Midwest Health has appointed two leadership roles for its hospitals in Overland Park and Lee’s Summit.

HCA Midwest Health announced Sean Kamber will be taking the role of CEO for Menorah Medical Center, according to a Wednesday release. Menorah Medical Center is part of HCA Midwest Health.

Kamber has nearly 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry, having previously served as CEO for Medical City Weatherford for six years. He also served as the hospital’s chief operations officer. Medical City Weatherford is part of HCA Healthcare’s North Texas Division.

Additionally, Kamber served as vice president of rural and community outreach for HCA Healthcare’s Gulf Coast Division.

“I look forward to working with this dynamic and talented team to continue leading the way to ensure high-quality and compassionate patient care is delivered to the communities we serve and that collaborative, transformative healthcare with state-of-the-art technology and services continues to be the focus of our mission,” Kamber said in the release.

Kamber earned a bachelor’s in business administration from Texas Tech University and a master’s in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio.

Crossing over state lines, HCA Midwest Health announced Steve Sahr will be the next CFO of Lee’s Summit Medical Center and Belton Regional Medical Center.

Sahr recently served as assistant chief financial officer for Belton Regional Medical Center. During his time there, Sahr oversaw the hospital’s financial functions and helped achieve its strategic financial goals.

He has nearly 16 years of experience in the industry, having worked in roles such as assistant chief financial officer, controller, and accountant capacities throughout the health system, according to a seperate Wednesday release.

“Steve’s financial management experience in health care will be an invaluable asset as we continue to contribute to the health and well-being of the community with growth in services, like the new CareNow Urgent Care in Grandview, the first urgent care clinic to serve the area,” Belton Regional Medical Center CEO, Todd Krass, said in the release.

Sahr earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas, and his MBA from Webster University in Kansas City, Missouri.
