Hawthorn Bank Opens New Location in the Northland

Jefferson City-based Hawthorn Bank’s Kansas City presence just got bigger following the opening of its new bank in the Northland.

Hawthorn’s newest banking center is located at 8625 NE 85th St. in the Shoal Creek area. The banking center will offer a full suite of banking and personal financial solutions with a smaller, open-concept footprint. The location will serve as a prototype for future banking centers, according to a release Thursday.

“We’re invested in the success of the community because we’re a part of the community – we live here, raise our kids here, and volunteer here,” Hawthorn Bank CEO, Brent Giles said in the release. “We understand that a community bank is instrumental to growing a neighborhood and surrounding businesses, and we can only be successful when the community we serve is successful.”

In addition to digital banking options for customers, the location also provides space to sit and speak with professionals. The Shoal Creek location is also positioned next to Starbucks.

Founded in 1865, Hawthorn Bank operates 18 locations throughout Missouri with nearly $2 billion in assets. Hawthorn Bank ranked No. 20 in Top Area Banks ranked by KC-area facilities in The Power Book 2024 edition.
