Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly recently chose two people to head up efforts for the state’s COVID-19 recovery plan.
She selected Cheryl Harrison-Lee as the Recovery Office’s executive director and Lyle Butler as chair.
Harrison-Lee , who is on the Kansas Board of Regents, has previously served in leadership positions in Gardener, Kan., as well as Orlando and Daytona Beach, in Florida.
Butler recently retired from the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce, where he was president and chief executive officer since 2000. He also had similar roles in Dodge City, Kan., and Greeley, Colo.
Kelly is expected to soon announce more members of the recovery team.
