General Motors plants are expected to return to pre-COVID-19 production levels in June, said the company’s CEO recently.
“This week we’ll continue to add additional shifts in our North America plants, and we think we’ll be close to normal capacity by the end of June, and sooner, if possible,” said CEO Mary Barra said during a Wolfe Research automotive conference, as reported by CNBC.
GM operates a major plant in Kansas City, Kan., that has about 2,500 employees. The Fairfax plant makes the Chevrolet Malibu and the Cadillac XT-4.
