Gasoline tax hike given initial approval in Missouri Senate

The bill was given initial approval in the Senate despite Republican disapproval. The bill would increase Missouri’s gas tax of 17 cents per gallon to for the first time in two decades. Currently among the lowest in the nation, the bill would soon change that, raising the tax by 12.5 cents per gallon by 2025.
