Kansas City-based general contractor Forge Construction has relocated its headquarters to the Crossroads Arts District.
Forge Construction invested $2.9 million into its relocation and will create 20 jobs. The company is now located at 1710 Walnut St., a 10,000-square-foot, two-story building. The building was previously occupied by SCD Probiotics, according to Jackson County property records.
“This project was completed during a time of tremendous growth for Forge Construction, but it was also a season of discovery,” President of Forge Construction, Eric Turner, said in a release. “As we expanded, we worked to define our guiding principles, clarify our purpose, and align around a vision for the future.”
Forge Construction was formally located at 1307 Union Ave. in the West Bottoms.
The new headquarters project involved a full interior demolition and complete renovation. New jobs added as part of Forge Construction’s expansion will pay an average wage well above the county average, according to the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
“When companies choose to grow in Missouri, it speaks volumes about the strength of our economy and the leadership within our communities,” Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe said in the release. “Forge Construction’s new headquarters in Kansas City represents more than expansion – it represents progress. This move reinforces our commitment to fostering an environment where business can scale, compete, and succeed for the long term.”
Founded in 2020, Forge Construction specializes in projects in several markets, including corporate, healthcare, industrial and philanthropic.
