Liberty-based Ferrellgas Partners announced its current chief financial officer and treasurer, Michael Cole, will retire from the company effective May 2.
Ferrellgas said it has retained Moelis & Company LLC to advise on various financial strategies and will continue this relationship while it searches for a new CFO, according to a release.
Cole was named the company’s CFO on February 20, 2023. Prior to joining Ferrellgas, Cole served eight years at Las Vegas-based NV Energy in a similar role as the senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer, according to his LinkedIn profile.
“Mike’s career spans multiple decades and has garnered Mike a vast portfolio of experience and knowledge in the finance and energy sectors,” president and CEO for Ferrellgas, Tamria Zertuche, said in the release. “This is showcased in how quickly Mike made an impact on Ferrellgas and our key stakeholders. Mike has served Ferrellgas and all its key stakeholders with high integrity and the employee-owner mindset key to our continued success.”
Ferrellgas Partners serves propane customers in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. The company and its subsidiaries sell its Blue Rhino exchange brand at over 65,000 locations.
