ETF Portfolio Partners Names New CIO to Lead Investment Team

Leawood-based ETF Portfolio Partners announced it has appointed a new chief investment officer.

Nick Romey, who previously served the company as an associate portfolio manager, was promoted to CIO. In his new role, Romey will be responsible for overseeing investment policy, portfolio management, exchange-traded funds (ETF) selection and capital markets research, according to a release.

“We’re excited to have Nick take over responsibilities of CIO and lead the investment team,” president of ETF Portfolio Partners Richard Romey said in the release. “I’m proud of what he has delivered to our clients over the last five years, and I’m confident Nick will continue to build on the foundation of pursuing consistent returns through various market cycles for our clients.”

Founded in 2004, ETF Portfolio Partners is an all ETF-based fee-only registered investment advisor. The company specializes in managing clients’ portfolios comprised entirely of ETFs. The company had $326 million in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
