Faith Technologies, a Wisconsin-based electrical engineering and design firm, recently purchased a 450,000-square-foot warehouse in Olathe and eventually plans to add about 780 jobs toward its operations.
The warehouse, at 21800 West 167th St., was purchased by Faith from a private investor. It was formerly occupied by apparel retailer PacSun. Block Real Estate Services, which brokered the deal, was marketing the building for $22 million, or about $49 per square foot.
The facility will be part of its Excellerate division, which specializes in mass electrical component assemblies and custom-engineered solutions, such as electrical assemblies and cabling-distribution systems. Faith’s site will also have a Faith Technologies University, which is an apprenticeship program.
“This is a major expansion which promises to bring hundreds of new jobs to Olathe,” said David Toland, Secretary of the Kansas Department of Commerce, in a press release. “It serves as a great example of the strength of manufacturing in Kansas. This is the growth and innovation we love to see.”
With an office in Lenexa, Faith has recently worked on projects on the University of Kansas’ main campus and in the Power & Light District’s Two Light Luxury Apartments. Other than Lenexa and Wisconsin, Faith has locations in Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, Idaho and Tennessee.
