Coping with COVID: Week four of mass vaccinations to begin in Missouri Tuesday, state releases locations
The list of mass COVID-19 vaccination sites in Missouri have been announced, revealing another Kansas City metro location to become available to area residents with an appointment. The state said 23 percent of its weekly vaccines will go to mass vaccination events.
Missouri Gov. Mike Parson’s office released a list of mass vaccination sites for the upcoming week, Feb. 16-20.
The list includes a vaccination clinic for those receiving their initial dose at the Cerner World Headquarters Campus in North Kansas City on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., or until the supply runs out.
The state is committing approximately 53 percent of weekly vaccine allocations to high throughput hospitals and 23 percent to the regional mass vaccination events.
The remaining 24 percent will go to local public health agencies, federally qualified health centers, and other enrolled community providers.
Missourians who would like to register for a vaccine are encouraged to use Missouri’s Vaccine Navigator or to reach out to health centers in their area.
At this week’s mass vaccination sites, individuals are required to have an appointment.
