Coping with Covid: Missouri COVID-19 dashboards expansion launched

This week, Missouri Gov. Mike Parson announced the release of improvements to COVID-19 dashboards located on the state’s Show Me Strong Recovery Plan website, the expanded dashboards including updated charts, maps and measures to be used by citizens and community leaders in their decision making.

Updates to Missouri COVID-19 dashboards on the Show Me Strong recovery plan website have been launched, according to a Monday announcement by Missouri Gov. Mike Parson’s office.

Dashboards underwent an expansion and now include multiple charts, maps and measures about COVID-19 and its impact in the state, improvements made to provide better information and resources for citizens, community leaders, and businesses, according to a Monday news release from the governor’s office.

“We are committed to giving Missourians the most accurate, up-to-date information as possible regarding COVID-19 in our state,” Parson said in the release.

In creating an updated version of the dashboards, Missouri worked with data from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the Department of Economic Development, the Department of Social Services, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and others.

“Since the start of the COVID-19 challenge, we have been committed to communicating the best possible information to our citizens every day,” Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Director Dr. Randall Williams said in the release. “These dashboards are the next step in our efforts to get better every day for our citizens.”

While the dashboards are designed to be user-friendly, the release said that additional improvements for mobile are expected to be finalized later this week.
