By Monday, the state of Kansas reported 53,959 confirmed cases since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, according to data from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

In Missouri, cases since the beginning of the outbreak show to be over double Kansas’ number with 114,307 confirmed cases.
Kansas counts 600 total deaths since reporting began in early spring, updating this number every other day Monday through Friday.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reports 1,463 new cases and 1,807 total deaths as of Monday. Today’s death count is up 12 from Sunday’s number.
The current case-fatality rate of sits at 1.58 percent in Missouri, an improvement from Missouri’s COVID case-fatality rate of 1.81 percent on August 31.
Over the last few months, this number has continued to drop for Missouri. On July 30, the rate was 2.52 percent, in June 4.71 percent, mid-May reported 5.5 percent. The state continues to inch closer to late March’s case-fatality rate of 1.33 percent.
