Coping with COVID: Location sites announced for week three of Missouri COVID-19 mass vaccination

With week three of Missouri’s mass vaccination plan underway, Gov. Mike Parson identified site location open in partnership with the Missouri National Guard, Department of Health and Senior Services, State Emergency Management Agency and local health care systems.

Missouri Gov. Mike Parson identified site locations for week three of the COVID-19 mass vaccination events in partnership with the Missouri National Guard, Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and local health care systems.

“We are thankful for the Department of Health and Senior Services, Missouri National Guard, SEMA, and our local partners for their continued efforts,” Parson said. “Supply continues to be a limiting factor, but these mass vaccination events have been a great help in getting more vaccines into the arms of Missourians.”

More than 38,400 Missourians have now received an initial COVID-19 vaccine dose at a mass vaccination site. The National Guard, DHSS, and SEMA teams will return to each site after 21 days for Pfizer vaccines and 28 days for Moderna vaccines to administer second doses.

Unless otherwise notified of a location change, individuals should plan to return for their second dose at the same site that they received their first dose, according to a news release from the governor’s office.

Mass vaccination site locations for week three include:

  • Bensen Center in Henry County
  • Washington County Ambulance District in Washington County
  • 1st Baptist Church in Stone County
  • Branson School Activity Center in Taney County
  • Black River Coliseum in Butler County
  • Shannon County Health Center in Shannon County
  • Cameron High School in Clinton County
  • Dent County Commons in Dent County

In addition to these mass vaccination events, the Department of Health and Senior Services has partnerships with selected hospitals in each region of the state for vaccine distibution.

As of Tuesday, Feb. 9, providers throughout the state have administered more than 721,250 doses of COVID-19 vaccines.
