Coping with COVID: Kansas and Missouri mid-week update



Health departments in each state provide updated case counts for the state and region, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services now displays a new tab on its dashboard that tracks current consecutive days of downward trajectory by county.

New numbers coming in Wednesday afternoon show that the state of Kansas now has 39,937 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 437 deaths since the start of the outbreak, according to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reports 78,062 confirmed cases and 1,449 deaths attributed to COVID-19 as of Wednesday afternoon.

Missouri’s state health department has also added a new tab on its COVID-19 dashboard. The tab tracks the current consecutive days of downward trajectory by county.

Regionally, Jackson County and Platte County are listed on the map with a downward trajectory for one to six days and Clay County is listed with a downward trajectory of 14 to 20 days, reports KMBC 9 News. Cass County is listed as not being in the downward trajectory.
