Along with turning the casino into a modern retail and dining destination, plans include an expansion of an existing parking garage as well as the construction of an amphitheater.

Located just off Front Street in Kansas City, Mo., construction and renovation of the casino is expected to materialize as early as this spring.

A request to rezone the 28.54-acre site where the casino sits was submitted by owner Bally’s Corp., a gaming company based in Rhode Island.

The submitted request asks that the property be turned into a development district, though it will not be reviewed by the City Plan Commission until Feb. 2, 2020.

Casino KC currently spreads across 40,000 square feet of space which includes 939 gaming machines, 13 table games and two dining venues.
