Wall Works Holdings, a construction platform company created from Kansas City-based VantEdge and Boston-based AVALT, has announced its new chief executive officer.

Wall Works appointed Darren Gould to the role of CEO, according to a Thursday release. Wall Works specializes in providing contractors with a platform to buy drywall, metal framing, insulation, acoustic ceiling tile and exterior cladding products.

The platform was developed when VantEdge formed a partnership with AVALT in May.

Prior to joining Wall Works, Gould served as the senior vice president & general manager of the central division at WillScot, a construction firm based in Phoenix. He spent over 14.5 years at the company and held various leadership positions while there. Gould also spent nearly 10 years at Cintas as a general, plant and service manager, according to his LinkedIn.

“Darren brings deep experience building operational excellence across distributed service models,” managing director at VantEdge, Jay Matlack, said in the release. “His past leadership roles position him to work effectively with our top-tier operators as Wall Works builds a unique and differentiated platform.”

VantEdge is a Kansas City-based family office investment firm that invests primarily in residential and commercial services, construction services, distribution, manufacturing, and multi-site consumer concepts ranging from $20 million to $75 million.
