A Conagra plant in Marhsall, Mo., is shutting down after about 20 employees there tested positive for COVID-19. The plant, which reportedly was already practicing social distancing and making sanitation efforts, is set to reopen on April 27.
The company will reportedly continue to pay workers while the factory is closed, as well as those who need to vacate due to COVID-19 health concerns.
A Conagra statement sent to news outlets said: “The health and safety of our employees is our top priority. In our Marshall facility, we have been using social distancing techniques, screening temperatures and increased sanitation in the facility to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Unfortunately, approximately 20 employees have been diagnosed with COVID-19 so we have made the decision to suspend operations at the facility until April 27.”
