Mission-based Complete Legal made its first acquisition weeks after the company merged with two other legal firms, L2 Services and Precise Legal.

Complete Legal announced the acquisition of Nashville-based Frontline Managed Service’s eDiscovery unit Tuesday. Frontline provides eDiscovery services, information governance, and data management in its multi-year contracts.

In January, Complete Legal announced it would be merging with St. Louis-based Precise Legal and Chicago-based L2 Services, operating fully under the Complete Legal name.

Following the merger, Complete Legal found itself in need of filling a talent gap, leading the company to search for an adequate acquisition as a solution.

“When we merged Complete Legal, L2 Services, and Precise Legal, we immediately identified several positions we would need to create and fill to scale our services to a larger client base,” CEO of Complete Legal Eric Singer said in a release. “The acquisition of Frontline Managed Service’s deeply talented and experienced eDiscovery unit fills many of those jobs almost instantly, which allows us to charge ahead and focus on delivering our value to a broader client base.”

The Frontline Nashville office will remain open and all employees will remain on the team.

Complete Legal is a litigation support and electronic discovery firm with hubs in Chicago, New York City and St. Louis, and offices located in Boston and Nashville.
