North Kansas City-based Cerner Corp. has made the decision to put up for sale its office location at 3315 N. Oak Trafficway. The property is now listed through Colliers.
The decision to sell the location – located just blocks away from company headquarters – arrived following a divestiture of the company’s RevWorks business last year, according to a Cerner spokesperson.
RevWorks was sold back in August 2020 for $30 million to Chicago-based R1 RCM Inc. With the sale, some Cerner employees were offered jobs by R1. According to the spokesperson, the 3315 N. Oak remain mostly unoccupied.
Cerner is not the first company to house operations at the location, the campus previously occupied by Farmland Industries Inc. It was not until 2005 that Cerner bought the 17.37-acre property.
Although the campus does not advertise a sale price, Clay County records reveal it was given an appraised value of $7.9 million in 2020.
