Centerpoint Medical Center announced it has appointed Robyn Miller as chief nursing officer.
Miller brings over 20 years of healthcare experience and 13 years within the HCA Midwest Health system to his new role. She most recently served as chief nursing officer at Belton Regional Medical Center, where she helped reduce nursing turnover during her tenure.
Miller also previously served as the assistant chief nursing officer at Overland Park Regional Medical Center during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Her new role is not the first time Miller has served Centerpoint. Miller spent 3 years at Centerpoint in several leadership roles, including director of emergency services and nursing operations, interim assistant chief nursing officer and interim telemetry director, according to a release shared with Ingram’s Magazine.
“I’m honored to join Centerpoint Medical Center and to work alongside the dedicated nurses and care teams who serve our patients every day,” Miller said in the release. “I look forward to supporting our teams, strengthening clinical practice and continuing to elevate the care we provide to this community.”
Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Truman State University, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Avila University, and a master’s degree in nursing leadership from Western Governors University.
Centerpoint has announced several other leadership appointments, including the selection of Dr. Sabrina Kidd as chief medical officer and Justin Inglett as the new chief financial officer.
Centerpoint Medical Center is a 285-bed acute care hospital with a Level II Trauma Center and emergency department located near I-70 and 291 Highway in Independence. The hospital is part of HCA Midwest Health, a health system with more than 10,000 colleagues and an annual local economic impact of more than $1.4 billion.
