University of Missouri Health Care (MU Health Care) has selected Burns & McDonnell to plan and design a new $232 million hospital for women and children on its main hospital campus. Officials say the new facility will create a centralized hub, improving operational efficiencies with state-of-the-art amenities and technology.
“We are excited to begin one of the largest building projects in our history to create an integrated healthcare campus that will bring together medical professionals across specialties, while providing a seamless, high-quality experience for patients,” Jonathan Curtright, chief executive officer of MU Health Care, said in a release issued by Burns & McDonnell.
The project reinforces Burns & McDonnell’s stature among the nation’s leading healthcare architecture firms. The firm will design the 323,400-square-foot facility, which is expected to be complete in 2024.
