Burns & McDonnell has expanded its presence in the Pacific Northwest region following the opening of a new office in Richland, Washington.
The employee-owned engineering, construction and architecture firm announced it opened its new Washington office on May 30, according to a release.
The 2,000-square-foot office space, located at 1060 Jadwin Ave., received an opening ceremony where community leaders gave remarks.
“Burns & McDonnell plays a critical role in the important work being done at Hanford and PNNL, and projects like these are sure to bring new opportunities to the Tri-Cities,” U.S. Rep. Dan Newhouse said.
The expansion bolsters the firm’s commitment to the Department of Energy and its Office of Environmental Management. Additionally, the new office positions Burns & McDonnell to support projects at the Hanford Site, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and other national laboratories, according to the release.
“With over 14,000 Burns & McDonnell employees supporting them, they have the knowledge and experience to deliver exceptional engineering and construction projects for the southeast Washington area,” regional vice president for Burns & McDonnell, Gene Sieve said in the release.
Burns & McDonnell operates two other offices in Washington. In addition to its Kansas City headquarters, the company operates 75 offices globally and has over 14,000 employees.
