Boulevard Brewing president, two other top officials resign

Following 26 years at Boulevard Brewing Co. and the last five as its President, Jeff Krum has resigned from the company along with two other top officials amid allegations of neglectful oversight. The company has been in hot water over recent reports of discrimination and sexual harassment in the work place.

Boulevard Brewing Co.’s President, Jeff Krum, resigned on Wednesday following accusations that sexual harassment was pervasive at the company and went unchecked by top officials for years.

Krum joins two other top officials that have resigned from their positions with the company.

“Effective immediately, we have accepted the resignation of Jeff Krum as President of Boulevard Brewing Company and Duvel USA. We recognize we have a long path ahead of us not only for our employees but the Kansas City community and beyond,” Boulevard’s founder, John McDonald, said in a statement.

Krum’s leave ends his 26-year-long career at the company, which he served as president of since 2016.

“As president, one of my oversight responsibilities was to ensure that all our workplaces were free of any form of real or perceived harassment or demonstrations of unwanted attention,” Krum said in a released email.

News of reported harassment and discrimination surfaced after a post went viral on Reddit from a former female employee detailing instances of harassment against women who worked there.
