BKD selects new CEO

Kansas City’s largest accounting firm has announced that Tom Watson has been selected as BKD’s next CEO and will take on the role in June 2021 following current CEO Ted Dickman’s retirement next May.

Based in Springfield, Mo. and the Kansas City area’s largest accounting firm, BKD has announced their new CEO, Tom Watson.

Watson will assume his role as CEO next year on June 1, 2021, taking over the position from current CEO Ted Dickman who plans to retire in May.

Since joining BKD in January 1992, Tom Watson has served as managing partner in the Dallas/Waco area and since June of 2019 has served as BKD’s south region managing partner.

Dickman will continue handling all CEO responsibilities while involving Watson in key decisions through the end of 2020, the release said.

During this time, Watson will further develop strategic plans and will work with other BKD leaders before taking on full CEO responsibilities.
