Auto Distributor Relocates To Hunt Midwest’s Heartland Logistics Park

Hunt Midwest’s Heartland Logistics Park gains another tenet as Standard Motor Products, Inc. will open a new national distribution center at the Shawnee location.

Standard Motor Products will lease the 574,732-square-foot, Class A cross-dock facility in its entirety, the company announced last week.

The facility, Heartland Logistics Park Building II, is the second building in the 113-acre park located at K-7 and 43rd Street in Shawnee, Kansas. The distributor Standard Motor Products will be relocating from Edwardsville, Kansas to this new facility to further bolster its national distribution capacity.

Also, in part due to the proximity of the two locations, Standard Motor Products is able to retain its employees and managers workforce, according to the company.

“We are very excited to bring this new Shawnee distribution center online to add capacity, minimize risk, retain our well-trained existing workforce and, most importantly, better serve our customers,” COO of Standard Motor Products Jim Burke said.
