Associated Banc-Corp, a Green Bay, Wisconsin bank with over $43 billion in assets, has expanded its reach in the Kansas City market by adding three members to help grow its commercial banking team within the region.
Bankers Matt Flynn, Alexander Burke and Mitchell Hind are joining the bank’s presence in Kansas City, Missouri for an initiative to help grow its Midwest markets. The three bankers officially joined the Associated Bank on March 21.
“Expanding our commercial presence with experienced and talented leaders and bankers is a critical component of this year’s focus,” executive vice president and head of Corporate and Commercial Banking, Phillip Trier, said in a Monday release. “We’ve strengthened our commercial leadership, enhanced our capabilities with new products and industry verticals, and refined our relationship-driven approach.”
Flynn joins as a business segment and region leader. He is now based in Kansas City where he will oversee Associated’s expansion into Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas as well as leading its new Short Line Rail Industry Vertical.

He has over 17 years of experience at U.S. Bank in Overland Park, where he most recently served as commercial banking senior vice president and team leader.
Flynn has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and criminology from the University of Northern Iowa and is a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington.
Burke is now a team leader and Kansas City market leader for the bank and also comes from a background at U.S. Bank in Overland Park. He spent more than 12 years growing their corporate and commercial client base, most recently as senior vice president and commercial banking relationship manager.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and management, with a minor in leadership, from Washburn University, as well as an MBA in finance from the University of Kansas.
Hind has now become a senior vice president and relationship manager. Most recently, he spent seven years with U.S. Bank in KCMO—in a similar role he now occupies—as a senior vice president and relationship manager. Prior to that he also spent a little over two years as a principal business relationship manager at Wells Fargo in Kansas City.

Hind holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Missouri Western State University.
