Arvest Bank celebrated the grand opening of its latest branch on Prospect Avenue in east Kansas City, Mo., improving the banking resources available in the community.
The $4.5 million state-of-the-art branch at 3121 Prospect Avenue began construction earlier this year, replacing the previous branch that stood for more than 70 years.
“Arvest Bank is deeply committed to east Kansas City and to providing a predominately underbanked community with the financial resources they need,” president of Arvest Bank for the Greater Kansas City region, Mark Larrabee said. “It was important to us that we listened to local leaders to help us design a bank that meets the current and future needs of area residents. We are very proud of this new facility and excited to be a part of this community for decades to come.”
The branch also includes three ATMs with Live Teller machines, which will extend bank hours to 73 hours per week from 43 hours per week. The ATM allows face-to-face communication with Arvest tellers via video screen to conduct and process transactions.
“This technology has been well-received by Arvest customers across our footprint, as it offers a more convenient way to bank with us while still maintaining the exceptional personal service our customers come to expect from our tellers,” Arvest Branch Manager Davina Estrada said.
The previous building was demolished in March to make room for the new branch. Construction began shortly after and was led by the woman-owned general contractor Monarch Build.
The new branch lobby hours will be Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., while ATM service will operate Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
