Arvest Bank has broken ground on its new Kansas City, Kansas, branch, which is slated to open next August.

Arvest Bank leaders held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new branch last week. The bank located at 7908 State Ave. is Arvest’s first branch in KCK and its 21st branch in the Kansas City region.

The building is expected to open its doors in August 2026, according to a release shared with Ingram’s.

The $5.2 million, 3,552-square-foot full-service branch will be staffed with bilingual associates, mortgage services, consumer and commercial loans, as well as small business and commercial banking services.

The branch will also include two ATMs with Live Teller machines, allowing customers to conduct financial transactions with Arvest tellers via video beyond normal lobby hours. Arvest live tellers are available from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

“This groundbreaking in Kansas City, Kansas, is a truly exciting moment for Arvest Bank,” president of Arvest Bank – Greater Kansas City, Kelly Carlson, said in the release. “It signifies our commitment to providing vital, accessible financial services to the KCK community. We are eager to build lasting relationships here and contribute positively to the economic vitality of this vibrant area.”

Arvest Bank announced that Carlson would be the company’s next president of the Kansas City market in June. He succeeded Mark Larrabee, who retired after 16 years with the bank.

Founded in 1961, Arvest Bank is a full-service bank with more than $27 billion in assets. Headquartered in Bentonville, Arkansas, Arvest Bank operates over 200 locations throughout Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri.

Lenexa-based Nabholz is the general contractor for the project.
