Amended plans for $187.5M Metro North development

The City Plan Commission will review the amended master plan from Metro North Crossing developers in early April. Plans include development of 615,451 square feet estimated to cost $187.5M, meanwhile construction continues on Metro North Crossing Apartments.

Metro North Crossing continues to pick up interest as a hotspot for developers.

Within the last year, the location opened entertainment venue T-Shotz, and saw construction begin on Metro North Crossing Apartments.

An amended master plan would bring an $187.5 million redevelopment project to Metro North Crossing which would include around 615,451 square feet in retail and restaurant space.

The City Plan Commission will review the amended plan on April 6, 2021.

Redevelopment of the location, part of its former grounds of the Metro North Mall, was given approval in 2016. Tenants that remain include Macy’s, Olive Garden and Red Lobster, among a few others.

Work on the Metro North Crossing Apartments, a $60 million multifamily development started in August 2020, has helped to lay a large portion of necessary underground utility work for future nearby buildings.
