Leawood-based AMC Theatres, which has had its screens closed for several months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is facing a $2.4-billion loss as a result.
There is is also reportedly a “going concern” that the company can remain in business, and there is talk of AMC potentially filing for bankruptcy.
For the quarter, the company will have a net loss of $224.5 million, and a revenue decline of 22 percent, to 22 percent to about $941.5 million from $1.2 billion.
