On Saturday, students scheduled to take the ACT in the St. Louis area were surprised to receive late notification about their tests being canceled.
One student schedule to take the ACT, Kenya James, was headed to take the ACT test Saturday morning at her testing site, Vashon High School, only to find out it had been canceled at 1 a.m. Saturday, reports Fox 2 Now.
“I felt devastated because I worked really hard and studied really hard for the test,” James said to Fix 2. “I know that many others students have studied hard for the test too.”
Kenya’s mother said they got to the testing site ten minutes before the test was supposed to start. Then they saw other parents coming out of the building. They told Kenya and her mother that the test had been canceled, reports Fox 2.
Although testing has now been rescheduled for September, other concerns have risen over whether the tests then will be canceled too, due to the ongoing coronavirus.
