About 17% at Triumph Foods’ St. Joe Plant COVID-19 Positive




About 17 percent of the 2,700-strong workforce at Triumph Foods pork plant in St. Joseph have tested positive for COVID-19.

Of those that tested positive, about 90 percent of the workers were asymptomatic, said Triumph CEO Mark Campbell. 

“Those with positive results are being notified and have been asked to self-isolate at home,” he said. “This is an unprecedented time for all of us as the COVID-19 virus knows no boundaries.”

Campbell thanked Northwest Health Services and the Missouri National Guard for testing assistance.

Triumph is providing hand sanitizer and face masks to employees and will continue to pay those that have tested positive. Campbell also noted that the plant is undergoing ongoing deep cleaning.
