Bike MS: Ozarks Ride 2017

Saturday September 9, 2017 • Republic Middle School to Schifferdecker Park • Varies

Bike MS: Ozarks Ride will take you farther than you’ve gone before. Enjoy a 1-day or 2-day cycling adventure through Southwest Missouri. Ride from Republic Middle School to Shifferdecker Park in Joplin where you’ll enjoy an overnight celebration of food, beer and fun. Wake up Sunday, and continue your unforgettable experience riding back to Republic, ending your weekend with a restful lunch with other riders.

On Saturday, take your pick of 40-, 80- or 100-mile route options and on Sunday, 40 or 69 miles all cheered on by the most spirited volunteers around. To make your ride a safe and memorable one, the routes feature well-stocked rest stops every 8-12 miles and are monitored by a route support team consisting of HAM radio operators, support vans, motorcycle patrol, law enforcement, EMTs and mechanics from our partner bike shops.

In addition, you will experience an incredible level of camaraderie as you embark on a journey filled with laughter, excitement, support and a profound sense of accomplishment. Your participation drives us closer to a world free of MS by funding critical research and services that change the lives of people affected by MS.
