ABOUT THE GOLF TOURNAMENT
The First Call Celebrity Golf Tournament featuring Willie Wilson will be held on Monday, June 27, 2015 at Swope Memorial Golf Course. The tournament includes breakfast, four-man scramble, a silent auction, lunch and an awards ceremony. The funds raised from the tournament are used to support First Call’s prevention programs for the community and clinical programs for individuals and families impacted by substance use disorders.
ABOUT WILLIE WILSON
Willie Wilson is a two-time American League All Star and a member of the 1985 World Series winning Kansas City Royals team. Wilson was elected into the Royals Hall of Fame in 2000 and is the author of Inside the Park: Running the Base Path of Life (Ascend 2013). He leads the Willie Wilson Baseball Foundation, which provides support to underserved inner-city youth in Kansas City.
ABOUT FIRST CALL
The mission of First Call is to reduce the impact of alcohol, drugs and addiction by providing quality resources to individuals, families and the community. Founded in 1958, First Call is a key catalyst for building capacity among 400+ Greater Kansas City area substance abuse, health care, behavioral health and support providers. Services are provided to over 20,000 individuals annually, including substance use disorder assessments, outpatient treatment, recovery services, family services, crisis call center and community prevention services.
