Relive the child-like wonder of the holidays as the Kansas City Symphony performs music inspired by beloved fairy tales and folk stories, including the “Dream Pantomime” from Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, selections from Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Christmas Eve Polonaise. Delight in the fun of Bizet’s Farandole and take a different sort of “Sleigh Ride” with the help of Prokofiev and Delius. Tickets are only $25 or $30 each and include a glass of wine or champagne after the concert, when you can mingle with Symphony musicians in the Kauffman Center’s Brandmeyer Great Hall lobby.
