Coping with COVID: Missouri reports no new deaths from Sunday, up one death in Kansas



National and state-wide data shows that although new cases have increased, the number of deaths in the region are on the decline with no new deaths in Missouri from Sunday, while Kansas has reported only one new death from Sunday.

Missouri and Kansas are beginning to see a slowdown of COVID-19’s impact after new data over the weekend shows no new deaths in Missouri from Sunday to Monday and only one new death in Kansas over the same time period.

According to data drawn from Worldometers.com, throughout Sunday and into Monday afternoon, Missouri has not reported any new deaths. As of Monday afternoon, the current death toll in Missouri is 1,508, according to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services

New cases have increased, however, Sunday’s numbers showing a total of 1,161 new cases in Missouri and 1,269 on Monday.

Over the same span of time in Kansas, Worldometers.com shows that throughout Sunday and into Monday afternoon the state has added one new death, bringing the statewide death total 446.

New cases in Kansas show 126 reported on Sunday and 86 reported on Monday, according to Worldometers.com data.
