Coping with COVID: Kansas and Missouri case updates and totals



Health departments in each state provided updates from new data over the weekend, Kansas reporting 38,401 confirmed cases since the beginning of the outbreak and Missouri reporting 75,944 confirmed cases as of Monday afternoon.

On Monday new COVID-19 data was released from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.

Kansas reports 38,401 confirmed cases and 426 deaths since the outbreak started as of Monday afternoon, according to the state health department.

Missouri has confirmed 75,944 cases since the start of the outbreak and reports that 1,426 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19, according to the state Monday.

Between Sunday and Monday, the number of COVID-19 deaths in Missouri has not increased.

In new cases alone, Missouri shows 869 new cases added over the last 24 hours as of Monday afternoon, according to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. In Kansas, the number of new cases is 116 from yesterday.

On the local level, the county with the most confirmed cases rests on the Kansas side, Johnson County reporting 7,418 confirmed cases.
