BKD donates thousands to local communities in giving campaign

A two-week, firm-wide giving campaign raised more than $500,000 to help those currently facing economic struggle.

In late May, BKD CPAs & Advisors launched a firmwide giving campaign to help those struggling due to the current economic challenges, according to a news release from BKD’s national office.

Over the course of two weeks, the campaign combined individual personnel donations with BKD partner and BKD Foundation matches.

Personnel, partners and firms pitched in together to raise more than $500,000, the release said.

While donations were locally focused, the money raised will have a national effect across the regions where BKD personnel work and live. Funds will be donated to local food banks and food pantries or United Way organizations, per office discretion.

“Part of BKD’s purpose and mission is to positively impact communities. I am truly humbled by the generosity of our BKD family,” CEO Ted Dickman said in the release. “It’s inspiring to see our team live out our values and create positive change. This has been an incredibly challenging time for everyone, and we’re excited to help those who have been affected by this pandemic.”
