Jackson County is getting $122.7 million of Missouri’s $2.4 billion in federal CARES Act funding, the second-highest amount of any county in the state.
“COVID-19 has had an overwhelming impact on our economy, and many local governments, health care providers, education institutions, businesses, and other groups will rely on this funding,” said Missouri Gov. Mike Parson.
Other metro counties receiving funds include Buchanan ($10.3 million), Cass ($12.4 million), Johnson ($6.3 million), Lafayette ($3.8 million) and Platte ($12.3 million).
St. Louis County is receiving the most state funding, at $173.5 million.
