This special exhibition features works of art focused around artworks promoting positivity, hope, healing and wellness. Artworks include paintings, photographs, 3D pieces and much more!

Join us for an evening of art, food, drinks and fun on September 6th! Each art purchase will benefit the Metropolitan Council of Community Mental Health Centers (Metro Council) with 50% of sales going to the organization and the remaining 50% going directly to artists.

Mental illness is a serious medical illness that affects approximately 1 in 4 families. Mental illnesses disrupt a person’s thinking, feeling, mood and ability to relate to others and daily functionality. The good news about mental illness is that recovery is possible!

Metro Council represents the public mental health system, otherwise known as Community Mental Health Centers (CMHC), in the Kansas City area. There are seven, independently run CMHCs in the metro area that serve as the entry/exit point for services for both children and adults. Each CMHC is responsible in addressing the needs of residents in a specific geographic area. These mental health centers work together to form a primary mental health service safety net system, with a joint mission of providing quality mental health services to low-income individuals and families.

EXHIBITION DATES: JULY 5TH – SEPTEMBER 26TH, 2019
