The Lenexa Community Orchestra performs free concerts for the community each summer. The orchestra, which began in 2017 as a program of the Lenexa Arts Council, is made up of volunteer musicians and is led by conductor Richard Ryan. The program features “Rosamunde Overture” by Franz Schubert, “Emperor Waltz” by Johann Strauss, “Slavonic Dances, No. 5 and No. 8” by Antonín Dvořák, “Pavane pour une infante défunte” by Maurice Ravel and “Danzón No. 2″ by Arturo Márquez.
