THE ONE TIME HELPING AT-RISK KANSAS CITIANS IS A LAUGHING MATTER. Over the last 12 years, the money raised at Stand Up for Synergy has benefited Synergy Services by providing thousands of hours of therapy for abused children, hundreds of nights of safe places to sleep for women fleeing domestic violence and case management for over 1,000 homeless teens in Kansas City. Which is indeed something to smile about. The event kicks off with an exclusive cocktail hour, which is followed by a delicious, chef created dinner and live auction with some premium items. In years past, the auction has featured hard to find sports memorabilia, one of a kind art masterpieces created live at the event, elite vacations and a 15 year Pappy Van Winkle Whiskey. And there’s no telling what this year’s auction will have up for bid. Everything culminates in a full stand up performance by a nationally-acclaimed comedian. Tables are limited to four people so there’s absolutely no bad seat in the house, and it gives the entire night an exclusive feel you can’t find at any other comedy club in the city.
