Parnell Names Sharon Holt VP of U.S. Pet Care

Overland Park-based Parnell, a pharmaceutical manufacturing company, announced that it has appointed Sharon Holt as vice president of U.S. Pet Care.

Holt joins Parnell with more than 20 years of experience in the animal health industry. She joined Merial in 2002 and continued after it was acquired by Boehringer Ingelheim in 2017. During her tenure there, she held leadership positions within sales, marketing, supply chain, commercial operations and business development.

At Parnell, Holt will lead the company’s U.S. Pet Care business, focusing on commercial strategy, customer engagement, organizational development and growth initiatives designed to expand access to innovative solutions for veterinary professionals and the animals they serve, according to a release.

“Her [Holt’s] deep understanding of the companion animal market, combined with her passion for customer success and innovation, makes her an outstanding addition to the Parnell leadership team. We are excited to welcome Sharon as we continue investing in our Pet Care business and supporting veterinarians across the United States.”

Parnell is a manufacturer for companion and production animals in 10 countries. Its North American headquarters is located in Overland Park, at 7015 College Boulevard. The company’s global headquarters and manufacturing are located in Sydney, Australia.
