Bank of Springfield, an Illinois-based bank, announced its expansion into the Kansas City market with a new branch.

The branch officially opened on August 11 at 8622 NE 85th Street. This location marks the 17th branch for the bank and its third in Missouri. Its other Missouri locations are in Clayton and O’Fallon.

The location will operate as a full-service banking center that offers personal and business banking services, including checking and savings accounts, loans, and financial planning, according to a release.

“This is an exciting time for BOS, especially for our Kansas City team”, Jason Knoedler, Bank of Springfield CEO, said in the release. “In 2022, we saw an opportunity to support our growing Kansas City customer base and opened the loan production office. 4 years later, we are celebrating the opening of our first branch in this community.”

Leading the Kansas City team is Austin Fee, vice president of commercial lending. Fee will work with 7 other people at the branch. Drive-up hours are Monday – Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and lobby hours are Monday – Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., according to its website.

Founded in 1965, Bank of Springfield is a full-service bank that operates with over $2 billion in assets as of July, 29.
