Balls Food Stores has purchased a new office building in Mission, Kansas, that will serve as the company’s next headquarters.
Block & Company, Inc., Realtors, announced the sale of 5830 Woodson to Balls Food Stores, according to a release. The 12,927-square-foot office building will serve as the company’s new corporate headquarters for its portfolio of stores, including Hen House, Payless Discount Foods, Price Chopper, Sun Fresh Market and Tippin’s Pies.
Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
The former Balls Food Stores headquarters is located at 5300 Speaker Road in Kansas City, Kansas. That property is now available for sale at $2.14 million through Block & Company, Inc., Realtors.
David M. Block and Will Sanders of Block & Company, Inc., Realtors, successfully represented Balls Food Stores in the transaction.
Founded in 1923, Balls Food Stores today operates 22 stores in the Kansas City metropolitan area. The grocery retailer was founded by Sidney and Mollie Ball with their first store at 16th & Steward in Kansas City, Kansas.
