Colliers, a commercial real estate and investment firm, announced it has hired Travis Helgeson as senior vice president of the Kansas City office.

In his new role, Helgeson will focus on agency leasing, tenant representation, and office sales, advising clients on leasing strategy, occupancy planning, and market opportunities throughout the region, according to a release.

“I am excited to join Colliers,” Helgeson said in the release. “The depth of this team and the culture behind it are what drew me here. I’m looking forward to adding to that bench and bringing real value to clients across the Kansas City market.”

Helgeson brings more than 15 years of experience specializing in office sales, leasing, and tenant advisory services throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area. Most recently, Helgeson co-founded Range Realty Partners in 2021 and served as the vice president for nearly 5.5 years. Before that, he served as vice president at Cushman & Wakefield in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area for over 5.5 years.

“Having co-founded and built a commercial real estate firm of his own, he understands real estate through the lens of business ownership, enabling him to help clients make strategic decisions that drive long-term value,” Ed Elder, president of the Colliers Kansas City office, said in the release.

In May, Colliers announced Jeannette Vahle would join as the new market managing director for the Kansas City office.

Headquartered in Toronto, Colliers is a commercial real estate and investment management company with around $110 billion in assets under management, according to the company’s website. Colliers operates in 70 countries and manages approximately 2 billion square feet of real estate with an annual revenue of $6 billion.
