Midwest Transplant Network Announces C-Suite Promotions

The Midwest Transplant Network announced Lori Markham as the new president and chief executive officer of the nonprofit.

Markham officially began her new role on Monday, according to a LinkedIn post. In her new role, Markham will be responsible for executive leadership and promoting organ and tissue donation.

Markham has been with MTN for three decades, having first joined the organization as an organ procurement transplant coordinator in 1996. She has held several leadership positions, including director of organ procurement and family services, corporate clinical officer, and vice president and chief clinical officer, according to the MTN website.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing and Nursing Executive from Rockhurst University and Research College of Nursing.

In addition to promoting Markham, MTN has promoted Nancy Harper to chief administrative officer. Harper first joined MTN as senior director of information technology services in 2022. She will now oversee quality, information technology and security management, aviation, strategic development improvement, business intelligence and regulatory compliance, according to a LinkedIn post.

MTN, based in Westwood, Kansas, specializes in organ procurement and tissue recovery at its headquarters. MTN also operates a 24/7 communications center that responds to referrals from its hospital partners across Kansas and Missouri. The organization’s services reach all 105 counties in Kansas and 63 in Missouri.
