Gladstone-based Curry Real Estate Services announced it has completed a transfer of ownership to a family partnership led by its vice president, Matt Pepper.
The transaction transfers ownership of Curry Real Estate Services and a majority of its real estate interests to a family partnership led by Matt. He will lead the ownership group alongside his brother, Ben Pepper, according to a release shared with Ingram’s.
Details of the July transaction were not disclosed in the release.
Matt first joined the company in 2022, overseeing commercial property management, leasing and advisory operations. Today, Matt has two decades of commercial real estate experience. Ben, most recently with Country Club Bank, joined in 2019 as vice president of commercial lending and was promoted to senior vice president of commercial lending in 2022.
“This transition keeps Curry locally owned and preserves the values and commitment to service that have guided the company for generations,” Ellen Todd, president of Curry Real Estate Services, said in the release. “Matt has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication to Curry’s employees, clients and communities, and I am confident the company is well-positioned for continued success.”
Todd will continue to support the transition and remain involved to ensure continuity for clients, tenants, residents and employees, according to the release. Todd is the daughter of Raymond Brock, who in 1980 led the acquisition of the company’s real estate assets. Todd would join the company that same year.
Founded in 1924, Curry Real Estate Services is a commercial and multifamily real estate brokerage. The company has been serving clients in the Kansas City metropolitan area for over a century.
