Kansas City Hickory Provisions, a barbecue meat distributor owned by the Fiorella-Dorman family, announced its plans to create a new distribution facility in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Kansas City Hickory Provisions (KCHP) will occupy a former Walmart building located at 2000 N. Commercial St. in Harrisonville. The 72,000-square-foot facility is slated to open in early 2027 and be USDA-inspected and SQF-certified, according to a release.
The location is around 37 miles from Kansas City, MO.
KCHP is operated by the same family that operates Jack Stack Barbeque. The new facility will work to distribute Kansas City-style barbecue products for retail and foodservice customers nationwide. The processing, packaging, and warehousing facility could see upwards of 20 jobs created for the facility.
“This is more than a business decision — it’s a community investment,” Kirk Durham, vice president of retail operations, said in the release. “We’ve always believed in reinvesting in the people and the places that made Kansas City barbecue what it is. Harrisonville is close to home, and we’re proud to put down roots here and create real economic opportunity for this community.”
New hiring is expected to commence in Q4 2026.
